Some people know how to operate a chainsaw. Others know how to make jam. Sometimes the jam-makers want to be the chainsaw operators and vice-versa. The Golden Ears Transition Initiative is an umbrella organization in Maple Ridge / Pitt Meadows that is a community-led response to the pressures of climate change, fossil fuel depletion and increasingly, economic contraction.
